Features

Manufacturer reference: FM478/04RACE — BMC Race air filter, designed for demanding riders and track racers. Specifically developed for the Racing range, this cotton filter retains the original shape while adopting an optimised filtration medium to enhance airflow. Ideal for prepared roadsters or machines used on the track, it is identifiable by its distinctive orange line running through the filtration body.

Usage: competition on closed circuits only (circuit homologation).
Performance: Racing material designed to increase airflow (+25%) without compromising filtration.
Compatible original references: 17210MFJD00 & 17210MFJD01.
Version: RACING — reusable cotton filter after maintenance with specific BMC products.

In short, the BMC Race FM478/04RACE focuses on permeability and particle retention to provide a compromise suited to track constraints: freer intake, engine protection, and the possibility of reuse after cleaning.
