The machined aluminium horn, outer lip, and inner cone are calibrated to enhance the speed and volume of air flowing through the engine, providing optimised throttle response and filling — particularly noticeable on modified engines (ported heads, larger intakes and throttle bodies). By default, the head ventilation remains in OEM configuration; an external ventilation for track use is available separately (part no. 1012-0263).
