The three-layer structure combines a first airy foam that traps dust, sand, and dirt, a second denser layer that stops fine particles without hindering airflow, and a third fireproof layer allowing the removal of the original flame arrester screen. The specific adhesive used to assemble the foams is resistant to solvents and gasoline. The filter is intentionally more compact than the original element to free up volume in the filter housing and improve airbox breathing. The breathable seal optimizes the contact surface with the housing body, and the bonding of the envelopes eliminates pockets where dust could accumulate.
