The brake caliper piston is specific to each motorcycle.

Note for the Honda VFR 800 model:

• From 1998 to 2001: upper position on the primary caliper and lower position on the secondary caliper.
• From 2002 to 2006: upper or lower position on the front or rear primary caliper and lower position on the front secondary caliper only.
• From 2007 to 2009: upper or lower position on the front or rear primary caliper and upper or lower position on the front secondary caliper only.
• From 2002 to 2003 ABS version: upper or lower position on the front or rear primary caliper and upper or lower position on the front secondary caliper only.

Note for the Honda XL V Varadero ABS version:

• From 2001 to 2011: upper or lower position on the primary caliper and upper or lower position on the secondary caliper.

Note for the Honda CBR XX 1100 model:

• From 1997 to 2004: upper position on the primary caliper and lower position on the secondary caliper.

Note for the Honda GL Goldwing model:
