DP BRAKES - Sintered brake pads (manufacturer part number DP608)
Designed for demanding riders, these sintered brake pads offer a durable compromise between bite and consistency. Their composition of copper alloy and the sintering process ensure high heat resistance and slower wear compared to a standard organic pad, providing increased mileage on roads and trails.
- Quick bedding-in: effective commissioning to quickly regain reliable braking sensations.
- Good initial bite: progressive return of braking power, on both dry and wet surfaces.
- Ceramic layer (aluminium oxide) on the backing plate: helps protect the caliper piston from high temperatures.
- Friction rating: GG — behaviour suited for road, touring, and enduro use.
- Physical characteristics: thickness 9 mm, width 53.4 mm, length 57.8 mm, net weight 281 g.
Quiet and designed to be less aggressive towards discs, these pads limit dust production and improve braking consistency during regular use. Ideal for roadsters, touring bikes, and enduro, they are particularly compatible with several BMW K 1100 (LT, LT Highline, RS) models from 1996–1998.
