According to EBC, the new compound improves thermal cycling: the pads can be cooled and reused in races without apparent loss of performance. The material claims better wear resistance and reduced disc abrasion compared to previous generations. EBC also indicates a lifespan of 4 to 5 sessions of 20–25 laps depending on the layout.
Usage and safety: Exclusively reserved for track use. GPFAX Race pads are prohibited on the road — any off-track use may result in serious or fatal risks.
