TRW MCB742SV Brake Pad — Sintered brake pad designed for use on the front brake only. Intended for touring and sports/racing bikes, this all-metal pad offers good braking performance and controlled wear on standard discs. It is particularly suitable for motorcycles originally equipped with sintered metal pads.

• Usage: front brake only, direct replacement for applications accepting sintered pads.
• Material: sintered metal — reliable performance on the road.
• Limitation: limited use on track; not recommended beyond 400 °C.
• Compatibility: compatible with almost all standard brake discs.
• Dimensions: thickness 7.9 mm, width 49.2 mm, length 38.7 mm.

Designed to provide bite and modulation on winding roads as well as for everyday use, these pads prioritise consistent braking rather than extreme performance in track conditions. Ideal for heavy and torquey motorcycles such as the Kawasaki VN 1600 Vulcan Mean Streak, Suzuki VZ 1600 Marauder, or the Kawasaki ZX-10 R 1000 (models listed for reference), they allow for a reliable replacement to regain a clear and progressive lever feel.
