Features
ANDREWS valve kit (manufacturer part number: 216321) designed for Vintage/Classic and Touring motorcycles. Camshaft machined from billet alloy steel, heat-treated and made in the USA. Intended for chain drive installation to achieve a more responsive engine performance in the low/mid range, while maintaining the original compression.
- Lift and duration characteristics: intake 255°, exhaust 264°
- Angles: exhaust opening 41°, intake closing 30°, exhaust closing angle 8°
- Optimal operating range: 1,700 – 5,200 rpm (works best with low restriction exhaust)
- Compatibility: carburetion or injection; similar to the EV-23 camshaft
- Materials: billet alloy steel, heat-treated (USA production)
Installation notes: the installer must check spring bind, valve-to-valve clearance and valve-to-piston distance. Camshafts from models 2000–2006 use a splined drive gear; for 1999, a splined gear is required. Can be used with original springs and lifters depending on configuration.
