Features
Manufacturer reference: 787 — Brand: JIMS. Bearing installation tool designed for the precise fitting of cam bearings on Harley engines and other V-Twin motors. Designed to push the bearing from the marked side (the side with the letters), this kit minimizes the risk of damaging the rollers, the cam surface, or the casing during installation. Ideal for work on vintage/classic preparations and road/touring outings.
- Application: installation of cam bearings.
- Precise adjustment: allows for positioning the bearings at 0.023" – 0.028" below the cam surface.
- Usage: for the installation of both internal cam bearings without direct hammering of the cam.
- Finish: black — supplied as a tool kit.
- Manufacturing: Made in USA.
This tool fits into the workshop of the discerning motorcyclist: it facilitates bearing pressing while keeping the cam and casing intact, ensuring alignment within the specified tolerances. Particularly suitable for recent and classic Harley-Davidson Dyna and Softail families (e.g. FXDLS, FLSTFBS, FLSS) as well as any V-Twin engine requiring this type of operation. Provides a clean and repeatable method for replacing or repositioning internal cam bearings.
