A simple yet essential part, the idle screw controls the resting position of the throttle and facilitates fine adjustment of the idle speed. Whether you're performing routine maintenance, cleaning jets, or restoring a carburetor, replacing a worn or damaged screw prevents losing the initial setting and eases adjustments in the workshop.
Workshop tips: check the condition of the threads and cleanliness around the carburetor head before installation, perform idle adjustments cold then hot in small increments, and keep a spare screw in your toolbox for long rides. Original MIKUNI part — a logical choice for the rider concerned with a clean and reversible adjustment.
