520MXR 3D 520 Chain by EK CHAIN

Transmission chain designed for off-road use with a forged ThreeD architecture that reduces peripheral volume for better strength-to-weight balance. The precision assembly and 3D geometry enhance transmission efficiency while decreasing moving mass. The CHR treatment of the pins increases wear resistance and limits oxidation in off-road conditions.

Design and Materials

• Forged 3D shape reducing perimeter volume for a better balance between strength and lightness
• Beveled outer plates with a 10% weight reduction to decrease the mass to be moved
• Hollow pin with a 5-7% weight reduction contributing to reduced rotational inertia
• Optimised inner plate with a 4.1% weight reduction for more efficient transmission

Usage and Performance

• CHR treatment of the pins providing a hard surface on the outside and softer on the inside to increase wear resistance
• Improved assembly and precision of components for more consistent transmission efficiency in off-road use

Benefits

• Good Design Award® price confirming functional aesthetics
• OEM Reference 520MXR/3D-G/G 114 SP
