The 16/40 ratio corresponds to a 16-tooth pinion and a 40-tooth sprocket, a common choice for a balance between acceleration and top speed on roads and highways. The steel sprocket ensures good wear resistance, while the gold chain facilitates visual identification during inspections and lubrication. Installation and adjustment should be carried out with the appropriate tools: check the tension, alignment, and perform regular lubrication to maximize longevity.
