The oil seal ensures sealing between the crankshaft and the crankcase to limit oil loss and protect the intake ports from impurities. Ideal for routine maintenance operations — replacement during engine disassembly or prevention after detecting a seep — it fits into standard procedures for restoring a crankshaft.
