The oil seal protects your engine case by preventing oil leaks and the ingress of dirt between the crankshaft and the engine case — an essential component during engine disassembly, bearing refurbishment, or routine maintenance. Its exact dimensions ensure a proper fit for the specified shaft passages.
Common compatibilities: usage indicators on motocross bikes, notably YAMAHA YZ 125 (1995–1997). Always check the dimensions and reference before installation to ensure compatibility with your model.
Mechanical advice: replace the oil seal when removing the crankshaft or in case of visible leaks. Installation is recommended with an appropriate tool and alignment check to preserve the sealing lip and avoid any pinching.
