Before installation, a complete disassembly of the engine block and thorough cleaning of the parts is required. Check the condition of the crankshaft and bearings: if there is significant wear, replace them. For opening the crankcase, POLINI recommends controlled heating (following the manufacturer's instructions). The assembly should follow this order: main bearings, felt and oil seal, central gasket, insertion of the crankshaft, and then uniform tightening of the crankcase. Verify the alignment of the fixing pins and the absence of play on the piston pin. Also, check the ignition and timing to ensure they match the original values.
