Why use a nickel silicon carbide coating
Nickel silicon carbide is used on all the Cylinder Works range as a coating on every cylinder cylinder, standard or major.
The reasons for using this material as coating rather than cast iron or chrome are simple.
Nickle silicon carbide allows for more tolerance between the piston and cylinder with a larger diameter, it guarantees a minimum contact surface, is extremely resistant and assures a larger thermic dissipation in terms of heat exchange.
A cylindre which as well as giving a superior performance, guarantees durability and reliability for their bike .
