The AXP skid plate made of 8 mm HDPE is designed to protect the undercarriage and the sides of the tank of the KTM 790/890 Adventure. Machined from high-density polyethylene, it combines rigidity and resilience to absorb impacts and projections without cracking. Its design incorporates improvements from the previous model: anti-friction intermediate foam to preserve the paint, a redesigned mud plate positioned in front of the skid plate, and reinforcements with 4 mm aluminum plates at the welds. A specific passage on the right side allows for the fuel pump hose, and the mounting has been adapted to remain compatible with the original center stand.
