The Black Diamond™ valve by Kibblewhite is a wear part designed for demanding off-road engines. CNC machined from a monoblock forging in EV8 stainless steel, it combines lightness and robustness for an optimised tulip profile and excellent gas flow. Treated using a German surface process (depth 0.002" with a layer of 0.0002"), the face of the tulip benefits from enhanced wear protection and reduced friction, superior to traditional chrome or electrolytic nickel plating treatments. The profiles are validated by finite element analysis (F.E.A.) and tested on a computerised flow bench.
