To use the VHM cylinder head and insert correctly, the height of the piston is an essential value to set. This will allow you to check that the compression and volume of the insert are correct, and adjust the height of the piston to match.

This tool is designed for a engine. Only the top part is used to measure the cylinder. A flat surface is all you need to calibrate the tool. The dial indicator is available separately.
