Feuling Parts – Ventilated Gauge (manufacturer part no. 3087)

Replace the original oil filler cap with a machined ventilated gauge designed to relieve pressure from the crankcase via a PCV-type breather. This gauge includes an oil separator, a perforated disc, a replaceable filter, and a non-return valve to limit oil recirculation back to the intake system.

• Screws directly into the original oil filler opening.
• Two ventilation options: 1/8 NPT fitting with internal filter or quick connect with rubber hose and filter.
• Oil level reading possible using two methods: FHS (side stand) or FHU (bike upright and level).
• US design, suitable for large twins and Touring motorcycles.

The principle: to expel blow-by (gases passing the rings) to prevent pressure build-up in the oil reservoir. According to Feuling, tests have shown a change in oil level and a reduction in blow-by under certain conditions. Feuling recommends a warm oil level between 90 and 99% and reminds that the suction port is located on the right side of the engine — allowing the bike to warm up on the side stand may skew the reading.

Usage tips: the gauge becomes hot, use a glove to check the level. For M8 engines, Feuling advises avoiding limited RPMs and using conventional oil to maintain ring seal.
