Features

PROX Forged Piston (manufacturer part number 01.2436.A) designed for Yamaha YFZ 450 quads. Made from forged aluminum, this piston features a diameter of Ø 94.95 mm (oversize A) for a STD oversize installation and a Standard piston compression. A robust replacement part intended for the top-end rebuild of the mentioned 450 cc engines.

The PROX forged piston is aimed at builds and repairs where piston reliability and resistance to thermal and mechanical stresses are sought. For a complete top-end rebuild, consider replacing the rings and associated gaskets: replacement ring 260127 and top-end gasket set 604450.

Main compatibilities: YAMAHA YFZ 450 R SPECIAL EDITION 2WD (2018 - 450 cc), YAMAHA YFZ 450 R 2WD (2018 - 450 cc), YAMAHA YFZ 450 2WD (2013 - 450 cc). Before installation, check the piston/ring clearances and the condition of the cylinder (bore, honing) to ensure optimal operation.
