Features

The forged piston VERTEX GP Racer Choice is aimed at motocross riders looking for an engine part designed for competitive use. Developed from field feedback in MX championships, it combines forged aluminum construction with targeted treatments to meet the demands of high RPMs.

Optimized crown: designed and shaped to enhance the flame front and achieve the maximum acceptable compression ratio.
Surface treatment reducing friction between the piston and cylinder.
Structural reinforcements to stiffen the piston and limit crown deformation under load.
Shortpin with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating for better wear resistance.
External snap rings: designed to reduce the risk of rotation at high RPMs.
Ultra-thin "GNH" ring made of gas-nitrided steel, for better wear resistance.

Main features: Racing Compression, piston diameter Ø 96.950 mm (bore 97.00 mm), oversize letter A, material aluminum. Manufacturer reference: 24272A.

Notable applications: YAMAHA WR 450 F (RE45) 2020, YAMAHA YZ 450 F (CJ23) 2019, and YZ 450 F (CJ22) 2018. Part designed for motocross use and operation at high RPMs.
