WÖSSNER Forged Piston - Ref. 8228DA

Designed for the demands of off-road, this Wössner forged piston is manufactured in Germany by a recognised specialist in engine parts. Machined from high-quality aluminium and treated at the skirt to reduce friction, it aims for the robustness required for motocross while ensuring reliable dimensional stability.

Bore diameter: 86.00 mm
Piston diameter: Ø 85.93 mm (letter oversize A)
Material: forged aluminium
Number of rings: 2
Delivered complete: rings, circlips, and pin

The forged design provides better resistance to the thermomechanical stresses encountered in motocross: starts, acceleration, and prolonged demands. The anti-friction treatment of the skirt limits localized wear and promotes clean guidance in the cylinder. Installation and running-in must adhere to the manufacturer's recommendations and be carried out by a skilled mechanic or a meticulous amateur.

Main applications: motocross / cross. Particularly suitable for Kawasaki KX 500 (references KX500D 1988, KX500E 2002 & 2003) — check compatibility with your engine and bore size before ordering.
