Z - Racing Clear Smoke Screen by Puig

Screen designed for fairing to enhance aerodynamics and rider protection during road use and sporty riding. Made from high-strength 3 mm acrylic, it provides a solid yet lightweight component for easy handling. Its double curvature diverts airflow to reduce wind directed towards the helmet and the upper torso.

Design and Materials

• High-strength 3 mm acrylic ensuring a robust and durable screen while remaining easy to handle.
• Rounded top finish at 2 mm to limit sharp edges and enhance the aesthetics of the fairing.
• UV-resistant treatment to preserve the smoke tint and clarity against sun exposure.

Practicality and Features

• Double curvature that diverts airflow to reduce buffeting on the helmet and upper torso while riding.
• Two lateral channels that redirect air outward to decrease pressure on the shoulders and improve comfort.
• Mounting without additional parts allowing for simplified installation once compatibility with the motorcycle is confirmed.

Usage and Performance

• Improvement of aerodynamic protection by 12.7% in the upright position and 61% in racing riding position to reduce wind impact.
• Optimized design tested in virtual wind tunnel to enhance aerodynamic coefficient and stability at high speeds.

Safety and Standards

• General circulation license ABE KBA 38182 VS3 and DOT 1312 allowing use on public roads in areas that recognize these approvals.
• Compliance with TÜV organization requirements confirming quality control and safety criteria applied to the product.

Advantages

• Design and manufacturing in Barcelona, Spain with artificial vision control to limit defects and ensure delivery condition.
• Item weight 458 g facilitating handling during installation and avoiding adding weight to the front of the fairing.
