Series 412 Shock Absorber without Covers – PROGRESSIVE SUSPENSION (ref. 412-4037B)

Designed for Harleys, this 412 offers a robust and understated solution to improve handling without revolutionising the bike. The "without covers" version and black finish, this internal reservoir shock absorber is gas-charged and built from steel for proven longevity on roads and long journeys.

• Function: standard, adjustable preload (5-position cam) to adapt height and behaviour according to load and rider.
• Extended length: 279.40 mm (11.00") — measured centre to centre.
• Finish: matte black/graphite, without decorative caps.
• Damping method: gas-charged, internal reservoir.

Points of attention for fitters: a shock absorber slightly longer or shorter than the OEM may alter the rake angle and steering responsiveness. On XL '86-'15 models, it may be necessary to adjust or space the chain/belt guard to ensure clearance. Heavy Duty applications are recommended if you often ride close to the manufacturer's maximum load.
