Series 412 Shock Absorber without Covers – Progressive Suspension

The Series 412 offers a shock absorber with a simple and robust design, specifically designed for Harleys. This coverless version, chrome finish, combines a steel body with a gas-charged damping method and an internal reservoir. This product is aimed at riders looking for an adjustable and durable suspension for vintage/classic and road/touring use.
- Extended length: 318 mm (12.50") — measurements centre to centre.
- Preload adjustment: 5-position cam to adjust spring stiffness according to load and riding style.
- Material: steel — chrome finish.
- Function: standard, coverless version.
- Made in the United States.
Points of attention: some or all shock absorbers in the range may be road-legal — please check the most recent certificate. A shock absorber that is slightly longer or shorter than the original may alter the rake angle and steering behaviour. On certain XL models ('86-'15), spacing or modification of the chain/belt guard may be necessary to ensure clearance. For frequent use near maximum load, consider the Heavy Duty versions.
