Features
Shock Absorber Series 444 - Progressive Suspension (ref. 444-4052B)
Designed for vintage/classic machines and long-distance road use, this Series 444 shock absorber provides modern suspension management without compromising the period look. Equipped with Frequency Sensing Technology (FST), it detects shocks and adjusts damping in real-time via a deflector disc valve system, while the progressive spring and high-pressure gas charge maintain stable behaviour under load.
- Finish: Black, internal reservoir
- Extended Length: 292 mm (11.50")
- Adjustment: manually adjustable spring preload, no special tools required
- Usage: standard function, suitable for high loads (intensive use near maximum load)
- Origin: made in the USA
Note: a different length from OEM may alter the rake angle and steering agility (longer shocks = sharper steering; shorter = slower steering). Before installation, check the travel and clearances (swingarm/axle versus exhaust, chain/belt guard or tyre) to avoid any contact.
Common applications: Harley-Davidson Dyna (FXDLS, FXDWG, FXDL) and other classic road/touring models requiring a combination of road comfort and load handling.
