Series 412 Cruiser Shock Absorber — PROGRESSIVE SUSPENSION (Manufacturer's ref: 412-4223C). Designed for cruisers and touring machines, this complete shock absorber set combines a progressive wound steel spring, chrome covers, and a black body for a neat finish suitable for long rides and heavy loads.

The Series 412 shock absorbers are gas (nitrogen) charged and feature a multi-stage speed-sensitive valve, allowing for adjustments in rebound and compression based on riding conditions. The progressive spring prioritises comfort at low compression while maintaining road handling under heavier loads — useful when riding with a passenger and luggage. The preload adjustment is made via a five-position cam, allowing for height and firmness adjustments without complicated tools.
