The Touratech Level 1 shock absorber, finished in white, is designed for the BMW R1200GS Adventure (from 2006 onwards). Designed for road travel, it offers a wide range of adjustments to precisely set the preload and damping according to your load and riding style.

The design incorporates a separator piston (oil/nitrogen) for a more progressive response and improved thermal management during periods of high demand (damaged roads, tracks). The aluminium body reduces weight, while low-friction seals and stainless steel bushings in the eyelet ensure reduced wear and stable mounting even under load.

• Usage: reserved for the BMW R1200GS ADV (rear)
• Recommended load: rider up to 100 kg, including luggage
• Adjustments: adjustable preload with tool; compression/rebound adjustment to adapt comfort and response

For optimal balance, it is recommended to also equip the front with the corresponding Touratech model: replacing a single shock absorber can alter handling. If you increase the tank capacity or regularly carry heavy loads, Touratech can adjust the spring stiffness upon request via their chassis control form.
