New muffler
Original Polini continues its commitment to the timeless Vespa with the launch of the all-new Original silencer. Developed with the aim of improving performance while reducing noise, the original Polini silencer fits both original engines and those in standard kits. Studied and designed to blend in perfectly with the design of the glorious Vespa, its shape and the embossed Polini name recall the emblematic Polini silencer, a distinctive mark for generations of Vespa drivers. The curvature and interior design guarantee top-level performance with a noise level that is contained but always pleasant. The silencer is perfectly interchangeable with the original and has been designed to fit larger 3.50-10 wheels. Skid support plate
The new Polini shoe support plate for Vespa classic e is perfectly interchangeable with the original one. It offers greater resistance to deformation and impact thanks to the special high-strength aluminium alloy used in its manufacture. It is fitted with an O-RING gasket that replaces the original paper gasket, guaranteeing a perfect seal. Article 170.0501
Clutch housing
In addition to the skid support plate, Polini has designed a clutch cover for Vespa Small Frame engines that is interchangeable with the original cover. It is fitted with a rack and pinion tappet for smooth sliding and a low coefficient of friction: This feature makes it very suitable for the higher spring-load clutches used on racing engines but, at the same time, it makes standard clutch control really smooth and flexible. Made from high-strength aluminium alloy, it has internal ribs that allow it to operate without the risk of being deformed by heavily loaded clutch springs. The new clutch housing features a control level and a stainless steel return spring to prevent corrosion problems. Article 170.0307
Corrugated spring
Polini and Vespa continue to evolve with the wave spring, a newly designed spiral produced using high-precision construction techniques. Thanks to its new honeycomb structure, it guarantees excellent flatness on the clutch thrust surfaces and can withstand loads of over 200 kg. The original Polini wave spring is calibrated for a load of 80 kg, which can be modified with the adjustment shims supplied, allowing a load variation of up to 200 kg. The spring is perfectly housed in the clutch hub, which has been designed with an appropriate centring seat. The clutch hub and thrust plates are machined from nitrided steel. The clutch plates have been finished with a material capable of increasing the coefficient of friction to improve sealing under the clutch plates.
