These shims, packaged in a set of two, are intended for replacement during a shim adjustment. Before installation, check the thickness with a micrometer and carefully clean the valve seat and the bore in the cylinder head. Proper adjustment ensures compliant valve clearance and contributes to smooth engine operation.
Workshop tip: note the original thickness, replace the shims one at a time to avoid losing the adjustment, and refer to the manufacturer’s manual for clearance values and the procedure. If you are unsure about the installation, entrust the operation to a qualified mechanic.
