MALOSSI roller weights 19x15.5 mm in a pack of 6, manufacturer reference 66 9420.C0. Made from CPT with a specific formula, these weights provide a reliable technical replacement for urban scooter variators. Ideal for riders who want to adjust engine response without making deep changes to the transmission.
Operating principle
The weights play a crucial role in the variator: under the effect of rotation, their mass generates a centrifugal force that pushes the pulleys closer together, altering the gear ratio. The heavier the weight, the earlier the engagement occurs (at low revs); the lighter it is, the higher the engine must rev before reaching the high ratio. This set of 5 g weights allows for adjustment of the scooter's behaviour according to usage.
Usage and advice
For urban use (traffic, frequent starts), choosing an appropriate weight helps improve acceleration and smoothness at take-off. These weights are designed to be combined with a compatible variator synchroniser and clutch for harmonious adjustment.
