Operation

During rotation, centrifugal force pushes the rollers outward from the variator: the heavier the roller, the earlier the engagement occurs at low revs; the lighter it is, the higher the engine can rev before shifting. Using appropriate rollers allows for adjusting the shift range for a better engine response suited to urban driving and stop-and-go trips.

Particularly suitable for urban scooters such as the Aprilia SR GT 125, the Piaggio Medley 150 IE S ABS (MA02), and the Vespa GTS Super 125, subject to verification of the roller diameter/width on your variator.
