Operation and adjustment

With rotation, the weight of the rollers transforms into centrifugal force: heavier rollers open the variator earlier (reducing slip RPM), while lighter rollers delay the opening and allow the engine to rev up. Choosing the weight (here 4.3 g) allows for adjusting the RPM range to optimize acceleration or power band according to usage.
