Operation and Tuning

The rollers act by centrifugal force in the variator: when rotating, their mass moves the weights to vary the effective diameter and the engagement moment of the gear ratio. The choice of weight affects the transition engine speed and the acceleration response. For optimal tuning, select rollers whose performance in operation keeps the engine within the desired RPM range.

Compatibility

Suitable for many urban scooters. Common examples of use: YAMAHA X-MAX 125 (2023/2024) and X-MAX 125 TECH MAX. Check the dimensions and reference before installation to ensure compatibility with your variator.
