DNA uses a special cotton weave, 100% natural. This is woven in the same way as surgical gauzes, allowing for extreme filtration (letting through 98% of the air). The metal mesh used by DNA has been specially developed by its R&D department, using marine-grade aluminium. This epoxy-coated material prevents any oxidation and is known for its high tensile strength and durability over time. The filtering weave is designed with 4 layers of braided cotton sandwiched between 2 metal meshes. The filtration area is maximised in surface area, allowing for a uniform maximum airflow. Another essential element to ensure quality filtration is oil. This has been specifically developed by DNA to ensure perfect retention of impurities, even the smallest ones (down to 5 microns), without compromising airflow (optimised to 98% on DNA filters). For perfect support and maximum lifespan, DNA uses "Polyurethane Elastomer" (known as PU) as the material for the frame of its filters.
