AT 8 MERINO® Neck Gaiter by Alpinestars

The AT 8 MERINO® balaclava is designed for motorcycle use in cold conditions and for daily wear. Its double-sided 250 g construction combines merino wool and polyester to regulate temperature, wick moisture, and dry quickly. The 4-panel cut and flatlock seams ensure comfort and freedom of movement, with an extended collar for optimal coverage under the helmet.

Design and Materials

• 250 g blend, 55% merino wool / 45% polyester providing thermal regulation useful for long rides.
• Inner lining made of 100% merino wool against the skin and outer layer of 100% polyester for a soft touch and better shape retention.

Comfort and Ergonomics

• 4-panel construction for a close fit around the face and fewer folds under the helmet.
• Flatlock seams that reduce pressure points for enhanced comfort during rides.
• Extended collar ensuring complete neck coverage and improved thermal insulation.
• Open face design facilitating compatibility with most helmets and head mobility.

Ventilation and Breathability

• Perforated mouth panel that aids breathing without compromising cold protection.
• Moisture-wicking properties to keep you dry during exertion and limit discomfort from sweating.
• Odour resistance allowing for prolonged use over several days without loss of comfort.

Usage and Performance

• Designed for all seasons, making it suitable as an insulating base layer during cool rides and in transitional weather.
• Durable design suitable for adventure use and daily wear for a high performance/versatility ratio.
• Recommended for wear under Alpinestars Supertech helmets to ensure comfortable integration with the helmet.
