Features

Aerodynamic design: The aerodynamic profile design of the S-M7 offers a smooth, streamlined shell, devoid of any external channels and features that could act as a load point in the event of impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet's construction.
Energy Diverting Design: The helmet's curved shell is designed to reduce friction and deflect impact forces away from the head, helping to protect the skull, neck and spine in the event of an accident.
PLASMA Inside: Alpinestars patented PLASMA technology is strategically integrated into the S-M7's side pads for high-performance shock absorption in a critical area, significantly reducing the risk of injury.
A-Head technology: Alpinestars patented A-Head adjustment system allows easy adjustment of helmet angle and height on the head for an optimised performance fit.
Patent Visor Release: The S-M7's patented visor release system is designed to detach in an accident, reducing the risk of helmet damage or rotational injury.
The S-M7's visor is designed to automatically detach from the shell when subjected to impact energy in excess of 15 joules, providing optimum protection against impacts from all directions.
Shell size for optimum fit: The S-M7's shell sizing solution ensures that each helmet size offers the most suitable anatomical solution to the wide variety of fit needs around the world, providing 3 different helmet shell sizes and 6 consumer sizes from XS to XXL to ensure that riders have the right fit, which not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight, but more importantly, improves the helmet's effectiveness in the event of impact.
Ready for Hydration System: The helmet has integrated channels on both sides to accommodate a hydration system.

Description

The multi-layer shell is constructed from a blend of fibreglass, carbon and Aramid fibre for an optimum mix of impact protection and force dissipation, sliding performance, energy absorption, stability and durability.
The patented A-Head adjustment system makes it easy to adjust the angle and height of the helmet on the head.
Ultra-ventilated helmet with 20 individual air inlet and outlet ports, not including the eye port, with 13 inlets and 7 outlets for optimum ventilation.
Ready for ejection system: the helmet is designed to accommodate the installation of an ejection system, which includes a removable insert on top of the EPS.
Removable lining: with 3D foam for optimum comfort, the lining has an antimicrobial treatment for long-lasting freshness.
The fit of the S-M7 can be further customised with genuine Alpinestars replacement cheek pads, available in all thicknesses and interchangeable between all shell sizes.
Lightweight: ECE 1280g and DOT 1340g for a medium size.
The S-M7 is available in 2 versions: ECE2206 and DOT approved.

Security

The helmet shell construction uses highly advanced moulding technology with a pre-impregnated composite construction that offers improved mechanical performance with an ultra-light overall weight.
The result of the unique shell layering process used in the construction of the S-M7 is extremely effective impact protection. The linear and oblique impact performance of the S-M7 significantly exceeds the limits of current helmet regulation standards.
Specific protection against rotational impacts is provided by the combination of the internal shape and specific coating of the EPS lining, coupled with a specially developed surface in the comfort lining. This specific coating technology patented by Alpinestars reduces the rotational acceleration transmitted to the rider's head: the S-M7 helmet exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for peak rotational acceleration by 76%.
