The MALOSSI VARPLUS is a variator modifier designed for mopeds and urban scooters. By replacing and combining the 18 provided rollers, it allows for gradual control of the variator opening between 2,500 and 8,500 rpm, offering a wide range of adjustments to tailor the engine response to your city riding style.

Operating Principle
Rotation drives the masses (rollers); depending on their weight and position, they exert a force that moves the movable half-pulley along its axis. At high RPM, the force increases, and the pulley opens further; by reducing the weight of the rollers, the effort decreases. This modulation system allows for adjusting the variator opening curve without heavy modifications.

Technical Specifications

• Movable half-pulley made of aluminum-silicon Ø 115 mm, extra lightweight and without external roughness.
• 6 tracks for rollers with calculated inclination, guided at the center by a self-lubricating bronze bushing with PTFE filling.
• Guidance ensured by two interchangeable nylon bushings to reduce friction and roller twisting.
