IRC PILOTA - Size M Universal Heated blanket - Yellow / BlackRef : IRC0017

The IRC Pilota heating blankets are designed to provide precise and centralised control of tyre temperature in a competitive environment or during intensive track riding.

This model combines advanced digital technology, high-quality materials, and an efficient thermal management system, allowing for uniform and rapid heating of the tyres to ensure grip and performance right from the pit exit.

The Pilota stands out particularly for its central control unit and advanced temperature management system, which simplifies adjustments while ensuring high thermal accuracy.

• A professional digital controller on the ground, with a quick stop function.
• Control via a screen on each heating cover.
• Temperature adjustment up to 120°C.
• Double Zone (IRC patent since 2012) for maximum uniformity.
• Management of overheating time and temperature.
• Delayed start.
• TECHNOLOGY: 2-channel control board, adjustable from 40 to 120°C.
• MATERIALS: Cotton interior and exterior, double layer of insulation.
• POWER: 850W

Precise temperature management

• Adjustable temperature from 40 °C to 120 °C depending on the type of tyre and rubber.
• 10 heating speeds allowing temperature rise to be adapted according to compounds (hard, medium or supersoft).
• Low temperature hold mode to keep tyres ready between sessions.

Technology and digital control

• Central digital control unit allowing easy programming and monitoring of temperature.
• Separate programming for front and rear.
• Backlit LCD display showing temperature and elapsed time since heating started.
• Calibratable probes to improve thermal accuracy.

Design and performance

• Carbon resistors providing reliable and consistent heating, more durable than copper resistors.
• Three heating wires ensuring even heat distribution across the tyre.
• Internal layer in Nomex III and aluminised insulation to maximise heat retention.
• Designed to heat both the tyre and the rim, improving thermal stability.

Installation

• Position the heating cover around the front or rear tyre.
• Ensure that the cover is properly fitted and in contact with the tread.

Heating Up

• Connect the covers to a suitable power supply.
• Turn on the central control unit.
• Set the desired temperature (usually 80 °C to 100 °C for the track).

During Heating

• Allow the tyres to heat for approximately 30 to 45 minutes to reach a stable temperature.
• Monitor the parameters via the LCD screen.

Before Entering the Track

• Turn off and remove the covers.
• Check that the tyre temperature is stable.
• Store the covers in a clean, dry place.

Between Sessions

• Replace the covers on the tyres.
• Activate the maintenance mode to keep the optimal temperature without overheating.

Compatible with tyres:

• Front: 120/70/17 and 125/70/17
• Rear: 160/60/17 and 165/55/17 and 170/60/17
