POLINI Ignition (ref. 171.0556) — Ignition coil for Piaggio mopeds
Polini presents a 12 V electronic ignition designed for Piaggio mopeds equipped with original electronic ignition. Engineered for plug-and-play installation, the system can be set up without complex adjustments: a practical solution for urban modifications and restorations where OEM parts are becoming scarce.
The rotor features a rare earth magnet and a lighter flywheel, reducing the inertia mass. The larger fan enhances heat dissipation. These design choices aim to promote a more responsive engine and optimized cooling, particularly beneficial in urban use. To maintain vibration-free operation, Polini offers two optional balancing brackets (to be ordered separately):
- 171.0679 — bracket for installation on engines with original crankshaft
- 171.0680 — bracket for installation on engines with solid mass crankshaft
