Hepco & Becker — BASIC Tank Ring (manufacturer's ref: 516277 00 01)

Designed to securely attach to the Kawasaki ER‑5 (1997‑2000), the BASIC tank ring provides a simple and reliable mounting solution for Hepco & Becker tank bags. This device includes the model-specific ring and the adjustable counter-support that screws onto the bag according to the shape of the tank and the angle of the handlebars.

• Mechanical locking: easy insertion of the bag and audible lock to confirm placement.
• Fuel cap can be opened without removing the installed ring.
• Secure hold even at high speeds — recommended speed with bag mounted: 130 km/h.
• Recommended payload: approximately 3 kg in the tank bag.
• Delivery: BASIC ring + counter-support compatible with bags of the same system.

Important notes: the BASIC system locks mechanically and differs from the Lock-it system (which uses magnetic domes for centering assistance). The counter-supports and rings of the two systems are not interchangeable. In Germany, the use of a tank bag generally does not require an ABE or registration in the documents, but always check the manufacturer's indications and compatibility with your model via the "My bike" database.
