Hepco & Becker Basic - tank ring (black) — Manufacturer's ref: 516641 00 01
Designed for the BMW K 1200 R Sport (2007-2008), the BASIC tank ring offers a simple and reliable attachment for Hepco & Becker tank bags. Compact and robust, it allows for quick installation of the bag and an audible mechanical locking for a worry-free ride, even on the motorway.
- Supplied with the model-specific ring and adjustable counter-support to fit the shape of the tank and the angle of the handlebars.
- Fuel cap can be opened without removing the ring.
- Mechanical locking with easy installation and removal: the bag clicks into place clearly, and unlocking is done via the front strap.
- Secure hold recommended up to 130 km/h; advised load capacity: approximately 3 kg in the bag.
- Difference with the Lock‑it system: same metal ring, but the Lock‑it uses magnetic domes for easier centring — the Lock‑it and BASIC counter-supports are not interchangeable.
Each specific ring is registered in the "My bike" database for compatibility verification. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the motorcycle and the specific model recommendations before use.
