Hepco & Becker Basic - black tank ring
Designed for the BMW R 1200 GS (2008-2012), the BASIC tank ring allows for quick and secure attachment of a Hepco & Becker tank bag. The kit includes the specific ring and an adjustable counter-support, which can be screwed onto the bag according to the shape of the tank and the angle of the handlebars. The fuel cap remains accessible once the ring is installed.
- Mechanical locking: the bag positions and locks in a clear and audible manner. Unlocking is done via a front strap pulled forward.
- Compatibility: model-specific ring — verified for the BMW R 1200 GS (2008-2012). The counter-support and the ring must belong to the same system (BASIC or Lock‑it).
- Difference BASIC / Lock‑it: the BASIC uses only mechanical locking; the Lock‑it version adds magnetic elements to facilitate centring.
- Recommendations: according to the manufacturer, maximum recommended speed with the bag mounted is 130 km/h and payload is approximately 3 kg.
