BASIC Tank Ring - Black by Hepco & Becker (manufacturer's ref: 516673 00 01). Specific to the BMW R 1200 RT (2014-2018), this tank ring allows for the secure attachment of a Hepco & Becker tank bag for road trips and daily rides.
- Mounting and contents: the BASIC ring comes with an adjustable counter-support, to be screwed onto the bag according to the shape of the tank and the angle of the handlebars.
- Mechanical locking: the bag is placed and locked with an audible click; unlocking is done via the front strap in the direction of travel.
- Access to the cap: the tank cap remains accessible once the ring is installed, allowing for refuelling without disassembly.
- Manufacturer's recommendations: maximum recommended speed with the bag mounted: 130 km/h; recommended payload: approximately 3 kg.
- System compatibility: the BASIC ring differs from the Lock-it system by the absence of magnets (magnetic centring reserved for Lock-it). A Lock-it bag is not compatible with a BASIC ring and vice versa.
