Designed for the BMW R nineT Urban G/S (2017-2023), the BASIC tank ring allows for secure attachment of a Hepco & Becker tank bag. Simple and robust, this ring ensures reliable support even on fast roads while allowing the fuel cap to be opened when the ring is in place.

• Delivered with the BASIC ring and adjustable counter-support, to be screwed onto the bag according to the shape of the tank and the angle of the handlebars.
• Secure mechanical locking: the bag clicks into place and locks with an audible "click".
• Easy unlocking: front strap pulled in the direction of travel to remove the bag.
• Recommended payload: approximately 3 kg — ideal for a few essentials without compromising handling.
• Maximum recommended speed with bag mounted: 130 km/h.

Note: in Germany, tank bags do not require an ABE or vehicle registration. The BASIC ring uses purely mechanical locking — it differs from the Lock-it system which incorporates magnetic elements for centring. A bag with a Lock-it counter-bracket is not compatible with a BASIC ring (and vice versa). Each specific ring is registered for the relevant model in the "My bike" database.
