Features
Manufacturer's ref: 20-21400 — KIBBLEWHITE Ovate Wire Beehive spring kit. Equipment designed for vintage, roadster, and touring cylinder heads where reliability and reduced valve train size are essential.
These "beehive" springs made from chrome-silicon alloy (CrSi) feature a progressive winding for compact stacking around the camshaft. Heat treatment, shot peening, and a "super-clean" finish ensure a surface prepared for optimal longevity. Made in the USA.
- Application: intake and exhaust
- Spring height: 0.610 (≈ 15.5 mm)
- Materials: CrSi chrome-silicon wire, high-tensile steel cups and washers
- Model: Ovate Wire Beehive
- Design: Posi‑Loc™ upper cups (hardened steel or titanium depending on version) designed by FEA to ensure proper positioning of the locks
Kit contents: 4 CrSi springs, 4 high-tensile steel cups, 4 high-tensile steel base washers, 4 high-tensile steel keys (OEM style), 4 Viton® seals. The kit uses components compatible with OEM or KPMI tophat seals provided.
Compatibility notes: check the lift of the check valve on CVO models 2023-2024 before installation. Not compatible with RH Sportster. Installation examples: Harley XL 1200 Forty‑Eight, Buell XB9SX, Harley XL 1200T Super Low.
