MAINTENANCE: Check that the acid level remains between the upper and lower battery limits (once or twice a year and during heat waves). If the acid level is too low, add distilled water up to the upper limit and charge the battery. Unused batteries must be charged once a month (using a motorcycle battery charger such as Optimate).
IMPORTANT: On receiving the battery, if it is not charged (or is charged using an inadequate charger), it will lose 20% of its nominal capacity and 30% of its lifespan. A battery that remains fully uncharged for over a month will be damaged beyond repair.
