The Carp Iter Yamaha Ténéré 700 GPS mount has two main components:
How do I know which version of the fixing kit to choose?
The type of mounting kit depends on the crash bars you have installed (or plan to install) on your motorbike.
There are generally two types of guardrails:
The Iter T700 Carp GPS support must be installed in a place that is NOT occupied by your protection bars.
So, for example, if you have the original Yamaha protection bars, opt for the frame-mounting kit.
If you have Outback Motortek protection bars, opt for the mask-mounting kit.
You don't have any protection bars? Opt for the frame-mounting kit.
The kit includes 4 M5x14 stainless steel screws for installing a device such as the Carpe Iter light mount on the GPS plate.
The GPS plate installation slots are compatible with a 30 x 38 mm hole template, in landscape or portrait orientation.
The GPS plate has 3 sets of installation slots. Choose the slot that best matches the size of the device to be installed (the device installed must not significantly obstruct the view of the motorbike's dashboard and must also be far enough away from the windscreen to prevent it hitting the device installed).
The GPS plate can accept M4 screws (for example, Garmin units and their mounts generally use M4 screws), but you must use a washer to ensure that the screw head does not slip through the slots.
Compatibility of brackets for specific guardrails:
Genuine Yamaha - Frame mounting
SW-motech - Frame mounting
HEED - Frame mounting
Outback Motortek - Mask attachment
