Launched in 2016, the Nucléon helmet is a concentrate of technology with aggressive lines, packed with practical features. Here dressed in a very lightweight fibreglass shell, it will make some competitors pale!
In terms of weight: once on our scales, the 1380 grams announced for the small shell (which encompasses sizes XS/S/M) are perfectly respected, as are the additional 100 to 150 grams for the large shell (for L and XL models). An achievement for a full-face helmet equipped with a sun visor! The style is also not lacking with taut and balanced lines.
Inside, the NUCLEON takes care of the rider. The multi-density foams are very pleasant to the touch thanks to their soft texture, and to stay securely in place on the head, regardless of speed, the support offered is significant, particularly at the cheeks with multi-density foams. The entire interior can be removed for easy cleaning. The helmet is also equipped with a cheek pad extraction system in case of serious accidents. The insulation is reinforced by a removable chin skirt and removable noise-reducing foam pads.
The ventilation consists of a large vent on the chin guard, a front air intake, and a rear extractor, all easily manipulable.
The more connected among you will be pleased to learn that DEXTER has developed its NUCLEON to easily integrate a Bluetooth kit, whether it be the DEXTER D-1 designed by the brand, or most of the adaptable kits available on the market.
The generously sized visor, equipped with mounting plates that allow for quick tool-free removal, offers a pleasant field of vision. It comes standard with a Pinlock® anti-fog insert that prevents any inconvenience in case of humidity and cold. Also very appreciated is the removable sun visor treated against UV. Hidden under the shell, it is activated with a button located on the side of the helmet.
The NUCLEON is secured with a micrometric closure chin strap, a mechanism that combines reliability, simplicity, and precision.
Note: In accordance with European and French standards, this helmet is supplied with a clear visor installed as standard, as well as a set of reflectors that must be affixed for use in France.
